Psychologist appointment and Fees
Our psychologist is available Tuesdays to Fridays from 8:45am (first appointment time) to 4:00pm (last appointment time) in Springwood, Blue Mountains. Our fees are well below the Australian Association of Psychologists recommended rate of $285 per session.
Medicare Rebates
Clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan are eligible for a rebate of $92.90 for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year.
We are able to process the rebate directly to your bank account once the full fee is paid. We do not offer Bulk Billing appointments however we implement sliding scale fees to allow as many clients as possible to benefit from therapy. If you have exhausted your Medicare entitlements for the year, you may wish to use private health cover entitlements if you have any or continue on a fee-paying basis.
Standard One-on-One Rate
Fees start from as little as $97.10 (with a Medicare rebate) while the full fee is $190 per 50 minutes appointment. The fee is adjusted at the beginning of each calendar year.
Concession/health care card holders One-on-One Rate:
$57.10 (with a Medicare rebate) while the full fee is $150 per 50 minutes appointment. The fee is adjusted at the beginning of each calendar year.
Couple counselling
Couples counselling (Gottman Method) is offered at $220 per 50 minutes appointment. The fee is adjusted at the beginning of each calendar year. Unfortunately, Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for couple counselling at the moment. Couples can complete the comprehensive online Gottman relationship check-up which costs 39USD and it is payable directly to the Gottman Institute (please note that we do not charge extra to interpret test results and prepare for the feedback session).
Private Health Funds
We offer HICAPS claiming for participating funds. Note with a wireless terminal, not all funds are equipped for wireless-level security in which case you will be provided with a paid invoice to make your claim. Please check in advance with your fund if your policy covers psychology services, and if there are any specific item numbers or codes they require.
NDIS
NDIS is billed directly at the industry standard fees. We are able to assist NDIS participants who are self-managing their plan or are using a plan-management organization to handle their funding.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy includes cancellations for sickness or other unforeseen reasons such as emergencies (it is not possible to claim a Medicare rebate for missed appointments).
Appointments cancelled with more than 1 business day notice no fee.
Appointments cancelled within less than 1 business day 50% cost of the appointment plus GST.
We reserve the right to reschedule appointments at any time, without compensation, if it is deemed necessary. In case of multiple cancellations, we reserve the right of terminating therapy.
